This days cycling looks really quite pleasant, gently meandering along past Congleton and east of Knutsford before skirting around the outside of Manchester (some interesting route choices there!).

But then we leave the flood plane, whizz past Astley (Rick??), on round the outside of Bolton, past the Lower and maybe Upper Rivington Resevoir and the Anglezarke resevoir to take us then through a gentle descent to the east end of Preston.
