Day 8 - Kirkby Stephen to Newcastleton

Starting off just level with the lakes, this day is a monumentous day that will see me cross the border into Scotland.
Ceryainly a wake up call early here with a climb just out of Kirkby Stephen, then just gentle alligator teeth all the way to somewhere around Renwick where we head steadily downhill for several miles.
As always, there is payback, with the days longest period of climbing from the River Irthing up to Cam Beck, 5 miles of steady up!
Three sharp but smaller climbs then stand in the way before we get to Sorbietrees, just outside Newcastleton for our first night in a different country.
Looking forward to meeting Sandy who has been very helpful getting us all booked in. Looks like a lovely place to stay the night and rest weary limbs.
