I was meant to meet Mr Harris today...

Some things, it would appear, are meant to be. Clearly today was a day when I was going to meet up with Colin Harris!

Went out much later than usual as had been enjoying a leisurely breakfast in the garden (it was sheltered and warm) with Jenni and a few cats. On leaving the Nevill estate, was coming down the hill when a cyclist came out from the crescent in front of me. With my momentum, i caught up and politely said 'Hi' as I went past and then realised it was Colin. I looked back to see him turning down Prince Edwards as I carried on. Ah well, may text later...

Off on the ride. Strong easterly wind today, so headed East to start with out through Ripe, Upper Dicker (not so smelly this week), up nach Street and over to Chiddingly. Just checking out the Chiddingly cafe to see if it opened Sundays for the Sussex Bike Club to drop in (it doesn't) and came back onto to the road to see a cyclist just having gone past on my route. You are way ahead of me aren't you, yes, after 25 of my miles, don't know how many Colin had done but we had weaved around Sussex to end up in the same place at the same time. Freaky.

Rode together for the next 5 or 6 miles, as always, so much nicer to have company as the miles slip by.

Other than that, what news? As you can see by today's picture, the 6 has turned into a 5. In fact, 2 calendar months and Day 1 is over and done, hurray. Will be crawling through Devon today and saying bye bye to Mr Bennett at some point.

Ear worms today, started with a great one, R.E.M. - Losing my religion, yum, like them. Obviously turned the head music off when was with Colin and for some reason the that Bugg bloke returned with his Lightening thingy. And I don't even like him....

50 more miles today, April is now my most cyclisty month ever, 846 miles this month and 2,373 so far this year. One more ride tomorrow then Friday off for this cycle of cycling. Next weeks cycle of cycling (shall I abbreviate to COC? Maybe not. Different times...), will be somewhat interrupted as Monday / Tuesday will be off stuffing face andf boozing. Wednesday's ride could be hard work.
