And the cleat goes on...

The Whispers, terrible kind of pun.
But the cleat went on, the song was sung, the rebuilt bike was ridden and so far there has been no falling off. Tomorrow probably, get over confident, forget to unclip 500 feet before a junction and then fall into a panic and crash into a hedge sideways.
Joe has done a top job on the bike, and in some ways that made the ride more cautious today as it didn't feel quite the same! Shoes were comfy, so cheers for the selection Danny. Joe got me kitted out, held the bike while I clunked and clicked and wobbled in and out and then I went to find a quiet road where not too many people could see any mishaps, but it was ok. Having sort of found out how things worked, onto the normal roads and then find a nice windy (and it was also quite windy from the South West) route home to give me time to get used to everything.
Nice ride back, saw some lovely black pigs just down from Wivelsfield Green.
I wouldn't say I am yet comfortable with the new set up, but the worst part has to be over, well, until I do fall over that is.... Out again tomorrow.
Oh, mustn't forget, happy Bird Poo to Ruth. 19 years old today. Will probably feel like about 60 tomorrow with the hangover...students hey!
