What a busy bike ride, must have been the sun.

Well, where do I start....

I think I have to start with apologising to the Sussex Bike Club people today for the regular outbursts of 'Fire, I want you to burn...' Hang over from Arthur Brown yesterday. Did surprise a few people at times, not quite as much though as my outbursts of chicken clucking. In my defence, I was happy, it was sunny.

Also, I have to set the balance back to true by complimenting a bike (motor) rider. Coming through Barcombe earlier, horses in front, round a bend that I could see, bike behind me couldn't but stayed back in response to the held out arm and we bothe went slowly past and exchanged thumbs ups afterwards. Everybody happy.

Not sure how much my change to the route was appreciated today, as rather than going along the A272, horrible road at the best of times, I suggested a little detour up a nice hill. Well, it made the tea and cakes all the more appreciated.

Full credit has to go to Scott (pictured), not only supping a glass of something chilled and white, but also knocking back a pea and mint soup with toast! Also, cycling today in a wooly top, hard core or old school, not decided which.

Today did make me realise how much more water I will need to carry and pick up on the ride if we get any kind of decent weather. 1/2 litre before going, half litre of tea and a litre bottle not really emough. Should have drunk the litre at the stop and then topped up as I do seem to need to keep hydrated.

Anything else? Hmm, didn't really feel like gardening this afternoon, but had to. Can't move now, bring on the wine.
