Hill practice

Quite a long one today, 63 miles only just short of the shortest stage on the ride by a couple and a reasonable bit of climbing. Usual roads, just ocmbined the hills from different routes to give a total around 3,600 feet.

Also, quite a good day for riding. Not as warm as I thought it would be so in reality it was pretty good for riding. No tea and cake today though as had to be back home before the invalid (Ruth) went to the docs. She's got a virus. I think that's jolly careless of here and she had better give it back to whoever gave it to her as I don't want it.

No wildlife of any note to report on today either. It was just trundle on, do the miles and enjoy it.

Interesting house building that we noticed the other day when with SBC on the Danny estate in the picture. I guess if it's your land, you can build as close to your house as you like? This new one seems to be almost touching the charming old timbered property.

Ear worm today, bit of Fairground Attraction and Perfect as it was on the radio before I went out, Robert Plant popped up a few times and a bit more Exodus - Bob Marley as finished watching the docu on the making of the Catch a Fire LP. Interestingtly, this documentary has proved that time travel exists, now. Bob Marley's Rastafarian mentor was shown in a then and now, and the now, he has to be the basis for Jabba the Hutte from Star Wars. Thus proving that George Lucas has travelled through time, seen the guy and gone back and created a character based on him.

If you haven't seen the documntary, and I would be surprised if anyone had, that all is pretty meaningless to you, but then, quite often, these blogs may be somewhat impenetrable as they just represent whatever spills out of the head at the time of typing.

We are now doing a cake stall for NJBS extravaganza on June 11th, easier to sort than a tombola. Need to check that when CRY were being unhelpful about the patrons retweeting things, they did at least realise that there was an order for posters etc. that they DO say they will supply as we will need those and the collecting tins. I think its getting close to time to make another push on fundraising, take it on a big bit and get it up over £2,000 just for this ride. Bit of an ask, but let's see.....
