Well, maybe that is going a touch too far, but squeezed in a short ride this morning before Auntie's 100th birthday bash, went over roads I have done many times before just to see how the new set up felt.

I have to say that shortening the stem seems to have made a significant difference in the position of my arms, much better now that they are not locked so that I have room to absorb the bumps that come up from the road to the bike and usually jar my shoulders, and my shoulders need careful treatment. Pedalling, speed, effort. leg pain, didn't really push at all today, so that we will see later, but did just go steadily at one slope and knocked 13 seconds off of 1:49. That's a chunk I was not expecting. And it didn't hurt to do.

All in all encouraging.

Anyway, gotta go now or I will be in dead trouble.

Oh, meeting Adeptis gents next week, Jon and Nye and progressing with Sussex Downs. Also nearly at £1,400 raised for the ride now.

Now I am going!
