Back after a gap

Haven't blogged for a couple of days. Took a rbeak from riding and did other stuff for the LEJOG and somehow that also meant I didn't blog. But I'm back now and probably as full of rubbish as always.
Went for a ride today, lets do that one first, with Mr B. A pleasant 46 miles out to Horam, cup of tea and back via the little stinger tat is the Glyndebourne hill. Twice in two days for Stewart. Really nice day for a ride, just a bit of a wind from the North. Tried an energy snack that JUenni had knocked up, dates and other fruity stuff in toasted sesame seeds, really rather nice, with the added bonus that 20 miles later I was still finding the odd sesame seed to crunch on.
What I want to know, is when we are going to settle into the traditional English summer weather pattern of a gentle wind from the south and south west that I am relying on blowing me up to JOG? So far, it's all far too northerly.
Now, the other stuff. Bit of extra printing on the shirts being done, they will be back next week ready for wearing in the Bug Hill ride. Going to take the long way there and back so that we end up with a ride of about 78 miles, replicating the distance for day 1.
And the bigger other stuff. Did the Linked In contacts over the back end of the week and have so far already had another £600 come in. We are now over £7,000 against the first target of £8,500 which is absolutely brilliant. We also have our first 'Sponsor for a day'. Well done to the Lengthorn family, good friends who have their own challenges to deal with but are still kind enough to support me in mine.
Cake stall coming together for the Nevill Juvenile Bonfire Society Extravaganza dayy on Nevill Green, June 11th (Bett's official birthday). CRY posters arrived, collecting tins arrived and boards for posters and table for cakes also in place.
Oh, and in three weeks from now, hopefully day 1 is finished and I have had a pint.
