Or has not yet made the effort to impart their knowledge with me which would allow me to share with all the regular readers. I will keep banging on about it as I don't have time to Bing it, too busy writing this and phoning hotels, pubs, B&Bs.
Ride today was to the tune of 4 Non Blondes, it should have been Wet Wet Wet as did get rather damp for the last 10 miles or so. Must see if I can find the wet weather gear as it will most likely rain on me for all the ride when I do it and riding in damp gear gets unexciting after a while.
Quite a pleasant ride up to the wet bit. Set out with the ida of just turning the wheels and not going fast at all and was somewhat surprised after an hour to see I was averaging over 16mph. I know I had no climbing today, but had not registered that I was putting in effort. That is something I need to keep an eye on during the ride as don't need to burn up reserves to no point. 51 miles all in all, tea and cake after 40 and glad to say that Carrot Cake was available today at Proper.
Also, back to the wet, will need to consider how best to keep track of the Garmins when it rains as looking through goggles things may be ok for riding, but if I have to keep checking whether to turn left or right, it's not so easy when the glasses are wet. Last thing I need is to miss a turn in the highlands and accidentally do an extra 10 miles or something! The other thing I must do is order another bib set as do need to have more than one to go with (well I have two others, but they may be a bit see through on the bottom bits and this is not the naked LEJOG).
Put together the screens yesterday that we will use for Cake day (June 11th - Nevill Green), all looked good so can have a CRY display for our cakes. Cakes and cardiac care, yea, sure they go together.

17 days to go.
