9 days, and a few hours. From tomorrow will be able to see what the weather forecast is for the first day and then onwards. Mind you, it will change seventy eight times between now and it actually being that day, so I shouldn't get too stressed if it looks rubbish now.
So, what happened today? Well, met up with Pete for a very pleasant 30 mile round ride from Proper. Gorgeous day for a ride. Good carrot cake today. Bike being done for tomorrow so should pick up and do another 40 odd in the afternoon.
Mass baking this afternoon by the family and friends, with more cakes being delivered tomorrow. Picture is of the Roobarb and Custard cake. Seems to be missing a bit, but don't worry, quality control check has passed it.
Also, only one more hotel to speak with. Still continue to be mistified by the way some of them work, but at least it looks as if all the bookings are cool so we won't be sleeping in the car.
Talking of cars, been offline for a couple of days as was picking up Ruth from Uni in Liverpool. Amazingly, managed to pack all her stuff from her first year into my car without her having to hold onto lots of boxes for the whole journey, master of packing or my car is a Tardis, one or the other. Just as well as we took a wrong turn off the M6 toll when singing along to ABBA and go routed down the M1 instead. Not great as we had already had two broken down thingies to deal with and on the M1 two lorries had driven into each other giving us an hours delay. Then a coach broke down on the M25. 6 1/2 hour drive back, not great.
Still, we debated the merits of both sides of the EU referendum all the way. Nah, we sang along to ABBA.
