Well, it's late and I am knackered, but here is a quick day 2.
Thanks to Gary and the Uckfield FM team for having me again. More tomorrow at 8.08.
Thanks to Stewart for being company for a day and a half. Awesome effort buddy and yesterday I couldn't have done without you.
Also couldn't do without the brilliant support from Helen and Steve. Getting really good at the meeting up games. They were the blue dot.
Stories from today, no getting lost, 81.7 miles, climbing as above including the first hill that I have ever had to give up on. About 40% and higher with mud and rocks, I plotted a quiet lane route!
Had a bird fly off the road in front of me that couldn't fly faster than me so came back into my face. Odd feeling its wings fluttering before it decided to turn right.
Had to squeeze past a GPO van replacing a telegraph pole by going into bushes to avoid a 30 minute wait, bikes 1 cars 0.
Cracking place tonight for staying and also the easy place was good. They served vegetables.
Ruth and Jenni, or even Ross, Glenn or Johnny, there is a challenge for you from Steve. You need to find six feet tall pink ermmmm thingies. Ask me offline.
Three counties today, Cornwall, Devon and Somerset and no cream teas. Boo.
First injuries. Bleeding toe and saddle sore from new not Castelli bib. Both treated and will see how they go.
