REST DAY!!!!

IT’S REST DAY! Really not much to tell you about it other than there was sleeping, eating and a tiny tiny bit of walking. Killin seems like a nice place; the hotel I’m not 100% sure about. I was kept up very late as whenever someone used hot water in the hotel, it would run through the pipes in my room which was so loud it sounded like a chainsaw. So a good nap was needed for me today. But I’ve changed room now, so hopefully a better sleep tonight

Tomorrow is a good 77 miles, but we are so close to the end now. (not counting the days when Jenni and I have to drive back to Lewes). Just two more routes to plan which makes me very happy. John O’Groats is so close now I feel like even I could cycle it- kidding, everyone who knows me knows that my talents lie in water based activities.

Rider bit

Well, not really a rider today, although I was informed by my armchair management cycling team in Lewes that good cyclists do spin on their off days. As I am a good boy and always do what I am told, I went out for a short little ride. That of course involved going up a hill.

After that, it was chill day. We did try and have a go at putting on the bowling green, but there was no-one in the kiosk. Seriously, there was a bowling green where they had cut in 18 holes for putting with flags, will make bowling really challenging.

Then, a walk up and down Killin which is a pretty little place, lunch at Shutters which was very busy, and back to the hotel for an afternoon of rest and relaxation.

Wonder if I will feel invigorated or resentful tomorrow climbing back on to ride for proper? I think I could get used to not having to ride 80 odd miles a day, but then 3 more days to do to achieve something I would not have dreamed of a couple of years ago.

What’s grey and lights up? An electric elephant.

Laters.
