Old bike

My poor old bike is getting some TLC, or at least some new bearings to replace what was worn out on the LEJOG and after, so today went out on the mountain bike.
You should keep variety going as I have been, understandably, pre-occupied with the road bike recently so getting back on the MTB is always a bit different and today was wonderful.
Riding from Lewes to Ditchling Beacon along the ridge always has good views as well as plenty of good up and down riding. I tend to forget how much you feel the rocks on an MTB, but even those today felt ok. Warm, clear, really nice ride.
Interesting that sdince I last rode along the top some of the old paths have disappeared, some have been repaired, some have deteriorated, so almost a new ride for me. Resisted the ice cream at the Beacon though.
Also, have had pictures taken for the Sussex Express article that will be in next week (Aug 26th) for the 'Community Hero' award. In olden days, the photographer would have had massive lenses, cameras and bags, now its just a phone.
