There's more out there...

Hello, I'm back, and I'm ravenous. However, can't eat the way I was on the LEJOG or will be the size of a house in no time.

Out for a bit of a ride this morning and going through Barcombe saw the sign in today's picture. I have managed to track down Andy and Carwyn's Just Giving pages, details below. They are fund raising for Cancer Research.

I hope I can somehow get in touch with them as I would love to talk with them and share experiences.

Strange feelings this week, as I am back to work next week and somehow that really seems to be the end of the adventure. Back to real world, grown up world, but actually, what I have been doing is in many ways for more grown up that what I return to.

I have been speaking with CRY a bit this week about seeing if I can get dates from them as to when we can hold screenings, aiming at March next year. Also need to get back in touch with Varndean and Sussex Downs to check on good times for them and then hopefully we will be well on the way to setting up two days when we can screen 100 people a day. If that isn't really worthwhile then I don't know what is!

I also need to get some kind of presentation together so that I can badger local bike shops to allow me in maybe for a brief evening chat to inetersted people about how to prepare for such a ride, how the ride was and pitfalls to avoid etc. Ideally, these presentations would see a few more donations coming in. I can also use the presentation to do a the colleges as it would be good to speak with the students and parents about why they should be interested in this.

So, with all that, I need to get myself back in gear and sort this lot out. The day job will just get in the way again as it used to, but I managed before....
