Lovely day for a ride...

Well, out on the new winter bike today and checking the forecast beforehand, was not quite sure what to expect.

The BBC says dry, Met Office, heavy showers. In the end, almost continuous drizzle in the first hour meant I arrived at the meeting with the guys a bit cold and wet. We started off and within three miles the first puncture. Speedily changed, but still standing around for a little while cooled off the muscles that had started to warm.

Then, couple of miles later, repumping needed. Thankfully tyre was ok, but it was a cool off again. Promptly followed by another puncture. We said to ride on slowly, and then there was a third and a fourth. As my gears were just a bit off I had left about 100 yards before these last two to go get a tweak.

At that point, the guys decided enough was enough and went for a pint. Wise choice.
