Didn't break any bikes today anymore than they were already broken!

What a lovely day, well, not as nice as yesterday, but it was dry, not windy, not cold, good company, good cake, and some new roads, so all in all a pretty fine ride.

I am not in the picture, think I was still getting my fat free fruit cake. Stan's bike shack is quite right on, fat free, green tea, gluten free, all jolly good stuff, not that any of that is relevant for me thankfully. Normal tea, and the fruit cake which was nice even though it lacked fat.

As the title implies, still problems with the bike. Bizarrely, as it fixed itself after 19 miles yesterday, it stayed fixed while I rode to Hassocks and then promptly threw a wobbly and refused to let me have the big ring for the rest of the day. Really hope Jim can be fixed tomorrow. I have decided to call the new bike Jim, sure you will work it out over time.

Dropped Eddy over for investigations and was delighted to bump into Joe who was in the café. We had a bit of a chat and we are optimistic about being able to fix Eddy up, even if we have to send Ross to Latvia. I think he might get lost though.

One other hang over from yesterday, where I have been following good football management approach and rotating bibs, I have worn the dreaded Specialised ones the last two days, and sure enough, last night found out in the shower that they had opened up the old wounds from Cornwall. Out came the Chamois butt'r and have been rubbing it in again and also for the longer ride today (it was 54 miles, 41 with only 8 gears) reverted to the faithful old Castellis which are still far and away the most comfortable pair I have ever worn. No problems. Must get some more.
